Junk Removal Checklist — What to Do Before Albemarle Moving Arrives

Pre-Appointment Junk Removal Checklist

• Mark items you are keeping. Colored tape, sticky notes, or just move keepers to a protected corner. Tell the crew when they arrive.
• Set aside paint, chemicals, motor oil, and propane tanks. These cannot go in the truck. Ivy MUC at 4576 Dick Woods Rd takes them free.
• Empty drawers and cabinets if possible — but not required. We can empty them if needed.
• Clear a basic walking path to the items. Not required — we navigate around things — but a clear path speeds the job.
• Note any access details. Gate codes, narrow driveways, elevator operation, difficult stairs. Mention these when you call.
• Have the address and a contact number ready. We call or text 30 minutes before arrival.
• Decide on payment method. Cash, card, Zelle, Venmo, or check — all accepted after the job.

What You Do NOT Need to Do

• Move items to the curb or ground floor — we carry from anywhere
• Disassemble furniture — we handle standard disassembly
• Sort items into keep/donate/trash — we do donate-first sorting
• Rent a dumpster — we are the dumpster alternative
• Pay a deposit — never required at Albemarle Moving
